Rise and shine! I woke up on this beautiful, sunny morning and the second thing on my mind: breakfast. The first thing would be my sleep position, something I’ve been modifying over the last few days to test and see whether changing sleep direction would improve sleep quality. And indeed it has! So instead of laying normally straight in the middle of my bed, I’ve been slumping diagonally. And for some reason, I’ve been waking up feeling more and more refreshed. Not only that, I figured this method helps maximize my use of the bed space! Anyway, back to breakfast. Something hearty, something sweet. Something that doesn’t involve a pan or fire.
Nothing worse than leaving bananas go black and icky. So I decided to enjoy them before they do (and more importantly, before my brother gets to them). Naturally, peanut butter made the number one most deserving company to my sweet bananas, and as proven by the domino effect, as did chocolate sprinkles and chopped nuts!
The first thing I did was to melt the peanut butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds while I cut up the bananas into little rounds. You’ve probably figured out what’s coming up next. Yes, because I wanted something quick, easy, and rewarding, all that’s left to do was pour the rich, creamy, and melted peanut butter into my bowl of bananas and then add in the rest of the sprinkles!
Make sure to get every last drop of the peanut butter (and lick the bowl if you need to – and you will need to) – letting peanut butter go to waste would be a terrible shame.
And what’s left but to take your preferred utensil to dig in? Oh, you could pour yourself a cold glass of milk. There. Make sure to get a little bit of everything in every bite – the banana, peanut butter, chocolate sprinkles, and nuts. There’s nothing like warm peanut butter with chocolate to entertain the palate and nourish the body. And we mean it – this breakfast treat is, for the most part, healthy. We’ve got your protein, sodium, potassium, and glucose covered. As a bonus, we make it so yummy you’ll even consider serving this little guy for dessert tonight. Oh, and I did end up sharing with my brother ( I suppose it’s fair since he was the one to do the groceries). Cheers and have a great morning!
