Studio 360 Jakarta

Last week, I sat down with the inspiring ladies behind Studio 360, a pioneer in the fitness industry for introducing xtendbarre to the masses in Jakarta. Bella, Bianca and Jessica could not be more different. Bella is the science girl and currently dabbles in glass manufacturing; Bianca studied fashion merchandising, and is a public representative for a prominent designer in Jakarta; and Jessica is the newly wed finance whiz. What they all have in common is a passion for fitness and a brilliant, business-savvy mind. They saw an opportunity in the dated and backward fitness industry in Jakarta, and they filled a void.

Studio 360’s vision is to provide a one-stop studio that engages its members in fun and dynamic workouts and at the same time, encouraging its members to develop a passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle. With this vision in mind, they outsourced an xtendbarre expert, hired instructors, got certified, and got the ball rolling. Fast. They decided on Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) as their first location. A smart choice, in my opinion. While the Southern Jakarta (Kemang, Senopati, Gunawarman) was mushrooming with power swing studios and yoga studios, the Northwestern Jakarta lacked such awareness.

Being a one-stop studio for fitness enthusiasts in the area, Studio 360 offers a variety of workouts incorporating airfit (a strength-training workout that involves getting suspended in the air with a swing cloth), power yoga (a high-intensity yoga class that increases heart rate and metabolism), and kids’ yoga into their workout selection. Studio 360 makes sure that when the mommies are up doing their xtendbarre or airfit classes, the tiny tots also stay active.

Just for fun, I thought I might show off some basic airfit poses here:

In the span of a few months, Studio 360 is becoming a household name in the fitness industry, with minimal marketing strategy, that is. Many of its members got to know about the studio through word-of-mouth and social media. Bella promises new classes such as extensive levels of xtendbarre that work with specific equipment; airfit pro (I think the name speaks for itself); and air yoga (basically, yoga on suspension). The terrific trio is also committed to continually improving itself and working on becoming a top fitness studio in Jakarta. I think these girls are making a mark in our society and I’m excited to see what else they have in store for us!

Inggrid’s secret ambition is to win the reality show “Amazing Race” and to make her mark as an entrepreneur. She is unafraid to explore her limits and accept any challenges. Just don’t make her eat nasty things and watch horror movies alone, because things can get ugly…
