A Festive Smokey Eye Makeup Look

Here’s an easy festive makeup tutorial for anyone to follow–perfect for this holiday season!

Yuli of Lilac Beauty Studio created for us this special look which is basically a smokey eye that’s not too dramatic but with a few twists added here and there such as the winged liner applied just at the outer corners of the eyes, glitters applied to the eyes area as well as parts of the face to really bring out this holiday season’s festivities.

To complete and sweeten up the look, she added top and bottom fake lashes. See how they really bring an eye makeup look to another level? Enjoy!

Step 1: Start with a clean moisturized face, and apply on your favorite primer and foundation evenly to the whole face and neck.

Step 2: Use concealers to cover undereye discoloration and dark circles.

Step 3: Fill in your brows with eyebrow powders and an angular brush.

Step 4: Line the top part of your eyes with a black kohl pencil liner.

Step 5: Use a pencil brush rounded brush to put on black eyeshadow at the eyelid.

Step 6: Use a blending brush to smooth out harsh lines.

Step 7: With a firm angled eyeliner brush, apply on a black gel liner just at the outer corner of the eyes to create a winged effect.

Step 8: Use a fluffy round brush to apply on glittery highlighter shadow at the browbone and inner corners of the eyes.

Step 9: Apply fake top lashes. Fake lashes with a winged effect or longer hairs towards the end work best with this look.

Step 10: Glue on individual bottom lashes from the outer corner of the eyes towards the middle corner, mixing long and short lashes together to create a natural look.

Step 11: Contour your face using a bronzer or a contouring palette.

Step 12: Use a YSL Touche Eclat to highlight your face.

Step 13: Put on a pink blush on the cheekbones and follow with loose powders to smooth out the whole look.

Step 14: Use a fluffy rounded blush to apply on glittery highlighters at the top of your cheekbones and underneath the eye area to create a “V” shape. The glitters will enhance brightness and adds a festive feeling to the look.

Finish the look with coral colored lipstick and glitter gloss for a softer day look or a deep maroon red lipstick for an evening look.
