Fudgy Brownies

Last Saturday we had a couple of friends over for a playdate and I wanted to have something to serve them other than Cheetos and Coke. As of late, I’ve been having an inexplicably formidable craving for sweets (not that cravings require an explanation) and have been on a roll with baking chocolate this and chocolate that. And I thought, brownies! Everybody loves brownies, right? And these ones deserve extra points for being extra fudgy. I kept the recipe classic and basic (no added nuts or anything like that), and they came out as rich and fudgy as I had hoped. Topped with a dusting of icing sugar (for effect) and served with a cold glass of milk (or coffee if you like), they made for an indulgent afternoon treat. And to keep myself from finishing the entire batch, I packed half for our friends to take home.  So if you’re looking for an extra chocolatey something that’s quick and easy, bake these brownies.
