Notice how day 1 (and first hour) began with decidedly the most important thing to do in Hong Kong?
We know our priorities and we set them straight.
The weather was in the range of 9-15C and while I thought I missed the cold (harking back to my times in Wisconsin and Seattle), I’d really rather be indoors energizing my body with hot dim sum and sipping tea.
Say Hello to Tony, our furry, amiable, and charming personal butler. He’s never without a smile!
The view from the 50th floor of the Island Shangri-la Hotel. It’s much prettier in person!
There’s always time to enjoy some hot tea while stretching out our legs on the sofa.
A lavish indoor garden inside the hotel.
Causeway Bay – tourists and locals blend.
Cuttlefish balls smothered in a hot curry sauce on a stick. Love a hot snack on a cold day!
Stopping by for a hot cup of milk tea.
…And a couple of noodle soups.
Mee-pok noodles with a variety of fishballs and fishcakes.
Beef brisket noodle soup.
Our revisit to Delicious Kitchen for the pai gu fan (pork ribs over rice).
Definitely deserving of a second shot…
That’s today. See you tomorrow!
