Day 3 was the day we finally went for some shopping!
And although shoes and bags were involved, I couldn’t ditch food just like that. So here we are browsing the aisles of Food Hall at Pacific Place.
There was so much variety, it was overwhelming! Knowing it’s New Year’s Eve and that major roads would be closed by 6pm, we decided to get away from the crowd.
This was our idea of avoiding people.
We got take-out and enjoyed our dinner in the hotel room while watching swarms of people getting in and out on the streets.
Some fried noodles, chicken rice, fried rice, beef with rice, wonton soups, and noodle soups, and we were on our way to a food coma.
But that didn’t stop us from getting dessert–yet again i-Scream ice cream from Food Hall. And it didn’t stop there. We enjoyed more cheese, ibérico, Pierre Hermé macarons, cheesecake, and fruits while awaiting the fireworks.
And here they come! In the comfort of our room facing the harbour, we counted down to the new year. The fireworks went on for at least 15 minutes.
One of us had a drink or two. And the other had none. Can you tell which one did?
Never really need a reason to be silly.
2013 went by so quickly it’s unbelievable. But so many good things have come along. Can’t complain, won’t complain.
Cheers to you! Happy New Year!
