First post in 2014!!! Happy New year everyone! Our last full day in Hong Kong–and we finally made it to Hong Kong Park (it’s actually just right across the street from our hotel but we just haven’t gotten around to it). But what a shame! I wish we’d done it from day 1.
Parks are probably one of my most favorite things. In life. Next to picnics.
Since moving back to Jakarta, there hasn’t been a single simple excursion to a park just for the sake of it. Alas, there is no such thing in Jakarta.
Warm sun on our faces and backs, watching waterfalls, documenting turtles (how are they so adorable??) do their thing, it was a delightful way to start a day.
Inside the cactus greenhouse.
Inside the greenhouse of wet/moist plants.
How funny and strange that they’re all stacked on top of each other and no one’s whimpering??
Now they’re starting to wake up and perhaps feeling a tad uncomfortable about personal space.
Here’s dinner in Kowloon. Simple food, but unquestionably satisfying.
No food was wasted. Hence, another episode of food coma.
See you tomorrow for our truly final day in Hong Kong!
